Head Teacher's Blog 15th December 2017

I am going to keep this Blog short and sweet for today. This is because I will be doing a final 'End of Term' Blog on Tuesday when we break up for Christmas.

It has been a week of Celebration Assemblies here at The Peele and I would like to congratulate all of our hard working students who received certificates and awards. It makes me incredibly proud to see the progress that they make. I would also like to thank the Pastoral Team for organising the assemblies and the JLT for helping to make them run so smoothly. Not forgetting Mr Moxon (our IT guy) who makes sure that the music, performances and presentations all co-ordinate on the day.

A quick reminder that we have a non-uniform day on Monday - £1 to take part, but no ripped jeans please. Monday is also Mock Results Day for our Year 11s so we will see if they have been working, if that hard work has paid off, or if they need to get some work done before the Summer GCSEs. Update on Tuesday!

We will break up for Christmas on Tuesday 19th, finishing at the usual time of 3.20pm. Students then return to school on Wednesday 3rd January 2018.

Finally, a plea to parents who drop students off from cars in the morning. Please be mindful of the buses and of other road users - and avoid parking on the zig-zag lines outside the school. I am very concerned for the safety of those walking in to the school so I ask for your support to keep all of our students safe.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend.
